I've often thought when I apologise for being elbowed in the face (yep, I am THAT person) that someone should just smack me every time I say sorry! It diminishes the value of it really, considering I just throw the word around all the time.
I've nominated you for a Liebster award: http://whoopsitshannah.blogspot.co.uk/2016/05/nomination.html
Hannah | Whoops It's HannahHannah Jayne Usherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15439368097219125095noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8020858402333390551.post-39568297131307146742016-05-05T14:29:30.967+01:002016-05-05T14:29:30.967+01:00Great post! I think it's just a habit of politeness and encouraging other to be polite if I say sorry first even if it's not my fault so they can reciprocate it. Silly i know. I used to be one of those people who apologized for everything, but I have trained myself to stop doing it when I have done nothing wrong. I have no problem admitting my faults and apologizing when necessary, but I have stopped over-apologizing in situations where I really have done nothing wrong. One of my big problem areas was in check out lines in stores...if the cashier messed up or a price was a wrong that I was challenging and it would hold up the line, I would apologize...I stopped doing that (and it's really difficult) but in reality I'm not the one who held up the line!

Shelbee on the Edge
www.shelbeeontheedge.comShelbee on the Edgehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04176384234651262845noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8020858402333390551.post-20964619251723800722016-04-27T04:06:22.313+01:002016-04-27T04:06:22.313+01:00This is a lot to think about. We will go grocery shopping and I'll say "I'm sorry" to some random person (even if they are in my way) about 10 times. I'm also very stubborn so I don't like to say I'm sorry often to those I care about. This is something I'm working hard on, but your posts puts it into perspective more for me.
